Are you ready to take your knowledge and design skills to the next level? In this intensive 2-day hands-on workshop in Berlin, you'll immerse yourself in the world of hats and headwear.

New dates are currently being planned and will be available soon.

Renowned hat designer Fiona Bennett will introduce you to the fundamentals and subtle nuances of traditional millinery. You'll learn time-tested techniques and discover how hats can be used and modified to precisely support characters, looks, and visual statements.

In the practical sessions, you'll reshape, expand, or recompose vintage hats. The focus is on hands-on work with vintage hats, which are reshaped, expanded, or reassembled. Each participant chooses a provided hat as a starting point and develops it individually. In doing so, you'll discover the diverse creative possibilities of this unique accessory – accompanied by personal guidance and individual feedback.

After the workshop, you'll be able to use hats effectively for stage, film, design, or styling. You'll hone your eye for proportion, impact, and message, and learn how subtle design choices can transform the entire look of an outfit and contribute to character development and visual dramaturgy.

This workshop is for anyone working in stage, film, design, or styling who wants to expand their creative skills. Sewing experience is desirable, but no other prior knowledge is required.

The number of participants is limited to 10 to ensure intensive work, the exploration of rare techniques, and a focused, personal atmosphere. Materials (vintage hats), water, and tea are included in the price. The workshop fee is tax-deductible. At the end, you will receive a certificate from Fiona Bennett.

Register now and enhance your work with a powerful, narrative design element.
